We’re one of the leading animal feed and day-old chick producers in Nigeria. We operate one of Nigeria's largest poultry feed mills and day-old-chick facilities in Kaduna State, and in Kwara state. Our aqua feed plant in Nigeria is the first in Sub-Saharan Africa, along with a poultry feed mill. Both these facilities are helping serve Nigeria’s expanding poultry and aquaculture sectors. In Vietnam, our feed mill in Mekong Delta service selected fish species with world-class product quality and technology and have established leading brands like Ecotra, Song Fish, Redcrown, and Royalgrow. Job Description

The Ruminant Veterinarian will support improved animal productivity, feed performance, farmer engagement, and sustainable livestock health practices. The role works closely with commercial teams, feed formulation experts, farm managers, customers, distributors, and veterinary stakeholders to drive animal health outcomes and strengthen the company's position as a trusted partner in ruminant nutrition and livestock solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Effectiveness

Lead animal health and disease prevention programmes for ruminant livestock.
Provide veterinary advice on diagnosis, treatment, biosecurity, reproduction, and herd health.
Conduct farm visits and recommend improvements in animal welfare, nutrition, and productivity.
Support customers with technical guidance on livestock health and performance.

Operational Effectiveness

Deliver technical training and knowledge-sharing programmes for farmers, distributors, and internal teams.
Support product positioning, customer engagement, and resolution of technical issues.
Identify customer needs and contribute to livestock health and nutrition solutions.
Represent the company at industry events and collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive business growth.

Organizational Effectiveness

Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Ensure compliance with veterinary, animal welfare, and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate technical records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements

Experience

5–8 years of experience in ruminant veterinary practice, livestock production, animal nutrition, or agribusiness.
Experience working with cattle, sheep, and goats.
Exposure to commercial livestock operations, farmer advisory services, and technical training preferred.

Qualifications

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), BVSc, or equivalent veterinary qualification.
Relevant professional registration/licensing as required.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of ruminant health, disease prevention, and production systems.
Understanding of ruminant nutrition, feed performance, and farm management practices.
Knowledge of biosecurity, vaccination, reproduction, and herd health programmes.
Ability to analyse farm performance data and provide practical recommendations.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in providing technical support, training, and customer advisory services.
