Responsibilities

 Business Engagement & Key Account Management

  • Formulation of business strategy for various countries in Africa (East, West and Central).
  • Managing key relations, driving sales and customer relationships.
  • Enabling business Development for Rice and identifying opportunities in this space for Olam to increase participation.
  • Monitoring execution of the business by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Overseeing payments/ insurance and credit exposures (if any) for the trades executed.
  • Complete Risk Management i.e. CP, Price Position, credit, stock risk, shipment risk, ops risk etc.

Business Development

  • To open new accounts and markets and drive sales volume growth for our Rice business in the market.
  • Understanding customer requirement in terms of quality, characteristics, end usage and be able to suggest best solutions to the customer.

Customer Delight

    • Unearthing new areas that can be added on the portfolio with synergies across supply chain.
    • Solving some of customer’s problem and get an increased share of wallet.

Requirements

• Strong analytical, commercial and communication skills.
• Experience of about 7-8 years in dynamic key account management business.
• Strategic and preferred partner of customer and successfully deliver win-win for both Olam and customer requirements.
• Ambitious about building career in trading industry.

Olam Agri Rice

Our vast sourcing network of both small and large-scale millers and farmers, combined with our worldwide sales, distribution and warehousing teams have created our strong position that customers can rely on. We work closely with rice millers, farmers and third-party suppliers to source and supply high-quality rice from rice producing countries in Asia and the Americas. We’ve established key partnerships, such as with the Thai Rice Department and the German development agency (GIZ), to promote sustainable rice cultivation. Through these partnerships we work closely with rice farmers to implement the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) Standard to improve their livelihoods and reduce environmental impacts of rice farming.
