Job Description

Lead and expand our Pasta division’s sales across key territories in Ghana. This frontline leadership role focuses on driving results, managing high-performing teams, and spearheading market growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets across assigned geographies.
  • Lead and develop a team of 5–8 Sales Officers by setting clear KPIs, monitoring field execution, and motivating performance.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with wholesalers, distributors, and key retail customers.
  • Execute trade promotions, in-market activations, and visibility drives to strengthen brand presence.
  • Conduct regular market visits to assess execution, gather insights, and resolve challenges.
  • Track competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities and mitigate threats.
  • Ensure timely reporting and data accuracy across all sales metrics and team activities.
  • Collaborate closely with supply chain and finance teams to maintain product availability and credit discipline.
  • Report directly to the National Sales Manager and provide regular performance updates, market feedback, and action plans.

Operational Effectiveness

  • Be the centre of the action, control and guide sales and distribution activities within the region.
  • You would have strong market connects, identify and report competitor activities within the region. Plan the necessary actions to counter them and to protect your market share.
  • Build strong relationships with the distribution channel, co-ordinate for field requirements and support distributors.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in FMCG sales, with a strong record of team leadership and market development.
  • Prior experience in the Ghanaian FMCG sector is essential; experience with pasta or food categories is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage trade relationships, and achieve results under pressure.
  • Strong understanding of retail and wholesale dynamics, including route-to-market strategies.
  • Hands-on approach with a bias for action and practical problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, discipline, and commitment to performance.
