We work closely with rice millers, farmers and third-party suppliers to source and supply high-quality rice from rice producing countries in Asia and the Americas. We’ve established key partnerships, such as with the Thai Rice Department and the German development agency (GIZ), to promote sustainable rice cultivation. Through these partnerships we work closely with rice farmers to implement the Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) Standard to improve their livelihoods and reduce environmental impacts of rice farming. We’re world’s first and now the largest sustainable rice producer and supplier. We lead the world’s largest Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) project in Thailand.

Job Description
A Regional Sales Manager in Olam Agri is responsible for driving profitable growth of the portfolio across the region by building strong distribution channels, expanding distributor networks, optimizing pricing strategies, and accelerating market penetration. The role focuses on delivering sales targets, strengthening market presence, and ensuring alignment with retailer and partner objectives. The incumbent will also lead sales teams, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive execution excellence across markets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Distribution Sales
- Achieve regional sales targets (volume, value, margins)
- Drive secondary sales and off-take
- Ensure execution as per retailer/partner SLAs
2. Market Development & Penetration
- Identify and drive growth across geographies
- Expand outlet coverage and category penetration
3. Pricing & Commercial Management
- Execute competitive pricing strategies
- Track price realization, schemes, and discounts
- Benchmark against competitors; align with global teams
4. Distributor Expansion & Management
- Appoint and develop distributors
- Drive ROI, working capital, and service levels
- Ensure compliance and reporting discipline
- Strengthen execution of value vs branded positioning
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align with supply, sourcing, and quality teams
- Partner with global teams on marketing and plans
6. Team Leadership
- Lead and coach sales teams
- Drive execution discipline and productivity
- Set KPIs and review performance regularly
Job requirements
Experience
- 4-5 years FMCG/FMCD sales with strong general trade exposure.
- Proven success in distributor expansion and market development roles.
- Strong understanding of price-sensitive consumer segments and retail dynamics.
- Experience working with large retailers, wholesale ecosystems, or private label portfolios preferred.
Qualification
- Postgraduate qualification in Management preferred.
- The role requires person to travel across and hence the person should be open to travel.
- Fluency in English.
