We produce a range of quality pasta, semolina and flours for bread, baguettes, biscuits & confectionaries. With strong regional presence in this category across Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon and Ghana, we produce high quality flour to meet the growing demand for wheat-based products popular amongst African consumers. Our leading brands, Mama Gold Crown Premium Pasta and Supreme Semolina in Nigeria, First choice in Ghana and Senegal and Bijou in Cameroon, comply with the stringent requirements of the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and those of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

We’ve build a long-term relationships with customers such as artisanal bakers, industrial users, and consumers.  Understanding their needs and working with them, help us in continuous improvement of our product.  We have several initiatives across the region to improve and empower our customers. Few such initiatives are My Healthy Baker in Ghana, Crown Flour Angels Programme in Nigeria & Mamie project in Senegal.

Job Description

The Brand Manager, Wheat Milling will be responsible for all marketing activities of the Pasta portfolio including strategic planning and brand management across various channels, Consumer Research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities, Marketing campaign development and execution. Consumer communication development and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders such as agencies and regulatory bodies.

Key Deliverables

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for the Fish Feed portfolio. 
  • Manage the brand image and positioning across all channels (Channel Partners, Farmers, Digital Media).
  • Work closely with Nutrition & Quality to align marketing strategies for Existing Product (Key Formulation enhancements) & New Product development.
  • Consumer Research to understand the Protein, Fish Category.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Analyze customer behavior and feedback to improve product offerings and messaging.
  • Conduct research on new product innovations.
  • Review market research report to identify new opportunities and threats to existing brands.
  • Conduct brand health track (BHT) to ascertain certain wins like TOMA, Brand Power, Brand Equity, etc. 

Strategic Effectiveness

  • Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (ATL, Digital / Social Media).
  • Plan and manage product launches, exhibitions and promotional activities.
  • Collaborate with creative agencies, designers, and content creators.
  • Develop communication/ creatives for BTL and ATL.
  • Deployment of communication across all media.
  • Monitoring of communication/ campaign efficiency.
  • Develop point-of-sale materials and promotional tools for retail partners.
  • Work with Sales to drive awareness and penetration across all channels.
  • Work with sales teams to drive in-store visibility and promotions.
  • Manage activation agencies across markets/ regions. 

Operational Effectiveness

  • Collaborate with Packaging, Quality Assurance, Production, Supply Chain, and Sales departments. 
  • Coordinate with external vendors, distributors, and strategic partners.
  • Attend trade shows, food expos, and industry events.
  • Manage 3rd party agencies/ vendors.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies for approvals of product and communication materials e.g NAFDAC, ARCON etc.
  • Manage brand ambassadors/ other online influencers. 
  • Should be able to influence both internal & external stakeholders to create buy-in for projects.
  • Good communication & influencing skills.

Requirements

  • Educational Level: Must have: MBA. Exceptional candidates with Bachelor’s degree may be considered with very strong/relevant experience.
  • Working Experience: Must have: At-least 8-10 years of work experience in Product Marketing/Brand Manager Roles in FMCG Co.s in Nigeria with strong project delivery record.
