We produce a range of quality pasta, semolina and flours for bread, baguettes, biscuits & confectionaries. Job Description
A Regulatory Manager in Olam Agri is responsible for ensuring full regulatory compliance of wheat milling and pasta products across manufacturing, sourcing, import/export, labeling, and commercialization. The role acts as the key regulatory interface between internal stakeholders (Operations, QA, R&D, Sales) and external authorities, proactively managing regulatory risks while supporting business growth.
The incumbent is responsible for interpreting regulatory requirements, implementing compliance frameworks, and ensuring all products and processes meet local, regional, and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., NAFDAC, SON, EC, FDA, Codex, GMP+, FAMI-QS)
- Lead product registrations, approvals, and renewals for products and raw materials
- Manage regulatory submissions, documentation, and certification requirements
- Ensure compliance with labeling, packaging, and ingredient regulations
- Conduct regulatory risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Coordinate with regulatory authorities for approvals and timely certification
- Manage regulatory systems and submissions (e.g., NesPAM, NAPAMS)
- Maintain regulatory documentation and support audits and inspections
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve regulatory queries and ensure compliance
- Provide regulatory training and updates to internal stakeholders
Job Requirements
Experience
- 5–7+ years of experience in regulatory or quality/regulatory roles within FMCG, food, or agri-commodities
- Strong familiarity with feed regulations, additives, labeling, and import/export requirements
- Experience working with manufacturing plants and multi-country regulatory frameworks
- Prior experience in a multinational or agri-business environment is preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field
- Master’s degree or professional certification is an added advantage
