Job Summary

The Deputy Manager/Manager– FMR (RTR) is responsible for a collection of processes between recording financial transactions and the publication of financial reports. The candidate should be a qualified/semi-qualified Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant or an accounting postgraduate from Finance related streams. S/he is responsible of providing both strategic, financial and operational feedback on business performance as well as financial statements that are compliant with local accounting standards. Responsibilities include end to end activities for Book closure of the Treasury Entities which includes posting journal entries, calculation of Interest income & expenses, Loan preparation of schedules, preparing FX movements, reviewing P&L , preparing cash forecasting statements, supporting month end closing, preparing P&L commentaries and various reports as required and supporting audits like notes to accounts, etc.,

Job Description

  • Managing the Financial and Management Reporting (RTR) processes and ensuring the service level agreements are met as per the timeline and accuracy
  • Responsible for end to end month close for the Treasury Entities, preparation and review of Critical/High value Journal entries, financial/Management reporting and reconciliations
  • Application of the entity’s accounting policies to each non-routine event or transaction is independently reviewed for appropriateness and ensures any exceptions are highlighted to business on an immediate basis
  • In-depth review of the financials for the Treasury entities and provide qualitative commentary
  • Overall responsibilities include and not restricted to:
    • Interest calculations & Accruals
    • Mark to Market / FV workings
    • Preparation of IFRS Statutory pack
    • Submission of Treasury P&L and Balance sheet to Group
    • PBT reconciliation and commentaries
    • Various reconciliations including BRS, Loan recon
    • Reviewing Loan agreements and coordinate for renewals
    • Preparation of Notes to accounts, FS and liaise with Statutory auditors
  • Issues and Incidence to be captured and reported on a real-time basis and partner with OE team to identify proper Root Cause and initiate Corrective and Preventive actions as required
  • Partners with RTR accounting and reporting teams to drive root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions as required
  • Ensure all the DTP’s are prepared/updated on a timely basis
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationship


Profile Description

  • CA with 8-10 years of experience in Treasury Accounting & Reporting (preferred).
  • Prior experience in Financial Asset accounting.
  • Should have excellent knowledge in accounting for Short Term / Long term Loans to fellow subsidiaries
  • Excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Working knowledge of SAP BPC / BO / BI would be an added advantage
  • Good understanding of upstream and downstream process – AP/AR/SCM/Payroll etc.
  • Should be able to identify and implement Continuous Improvement Projects (Six Sigma, Lean, YB projects) to improve team’s productivity and efficiency and overall quality of processes
  • Strong domain expertise, analytical skills and logical reasoning with good leadership capabilities with the ability to handle pressure and work in an environment of strict deadlines
  • Good communication, interpretation and comprehension skills, proactive and good in numbers
  • Willingness to work in different time zones and willingness to travel (short informed trips) based on the business needs.
