Olam Global Business Services (OGBS) is a captive unit that offers End to End business process and analytics solutions. OGBS currently offers its solutions in 6 Platforms: Finance, Supply Chain, People services, Risk & Market Compliance, Big Data Analytics and Business Intelligence. At this moment, OGBS is located in City of Chennai, India and provides its services to over 20 countries. Job Summary

The candidate should be well versed in managing & supervising sourcing activities, oversee vendor management activities, Lead category management via CCMS and support process transition. 10-15 years of relevant experience in Procurement & Logistics Operations, Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management, in Food & Agribusiness, FMCG and similar related Industries preferably. A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience at Managerial level; managing mid-large sized Teams. Good exposure to Strategic Sourcing & as well as Procurement Operations & Vendor Management. Heightened Exposure to Category Management, Category Strategy Formulation, Market Intelligence. Deep knowledge of SAP (MM Module).

Job Description

Manage & Supervise Sourcing Activities:

  • Support RFx Process: Own and lead the supplier interface for all RFI, RFP and RFQ services.
  • Support both Domestic & Global Sourcing activities; Knowledge of e-tendering via Ariba/Coupa
  • Involve in Strategic Negotiations & Contract Management. Monitor & report on the performance of vendors to ensure contractual obligations & performance metrics are met- Compliance Reporting.
  • Deliver Cost Savings, Cost Avoidance & other Value Delivery Programs YoY, consistently

Oversee Vendor Management Activities:

  • Benchmarking, Identification, Approvals, Onboarding, Auditing, Ongoing Operations - end to end Vendor Life Cycle Management (VLC) & Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
  • Supplier Evaluation, Rating & Monitoring: Lead measuring supplier performance, root cause analysis and driving improved performance. Own all aspects of supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery).
  • Collaborate effectively within and across regional procurement teams, and global category leads to meet procurement objectives, KPIs and SLAs. Responsible for service delivery & compliance

Lead Category Management via CCMS

  • Be fully conversant with the 7 Steps of Strategic Sourcing & Category Management Concepts
  • Drive in depth Market Research & Intelligence from secondary research & online sources. Competent in Data Mining; Knowledge on Market Tracking Mechanisms, Price Benchmarking, Marked to Market.
  • Build Cost Models using Should Cost Analysis & Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Methodologies
  • Develop Standardized Sourcing Strategy Development Framework & Templates, Governance and Repository. Be able to Train Procurement Teams on Strategy Framework/ Templates.
  • Develop focused Category Decks & Category Strategies for assigned Category/Commodity; 5-6/Year
  • Publish Commodity Trackers, Chief Economic Indicators etc. for select commodities & categories
  • Knowledge Transfer- Train, induct and work closely with the OGBS incumbents at various levels to deliver the targets. To transition processes from Origin to OGBS & integrate seamlessly.

Profile Description

  • Graduation/Post Graduation in Any Discipline. Desirable to have specialization is Supply Chain Management/ General Business Studies/ Engineering/Food & Agribusiness & relevant Areas.
  • Candidates from Tier-I/ Premier Undergraduate (Engineering)/PG-Management Institutes desirable.
  • Be able to manage Internal/ External, & Cross Functional stakeholders, including Senior Management & Leadership. Ability to visualize the Big Picture and translate to execution.
  • Be able to visualize the end to end process; perform Gap Analysis; & plug gaps & set processes right.
  • Deliver solutions to operational problems while maintaining high levels of quality & service; Drives continuous improvement & transformation initiatives constantly identifying inefficiencies & cost optimization opportunities, using the right mix of people, processes, tools and technologies.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent stakeholder management skills, people development & strong communication skills (both written and verbal), strong interpersonal, leadership & general management skills. Flexibility & agility in delivery is an asset.
  • Strong analytical background, attention to detail along with structured organization and planning skills. Demonstrate high analytical and problem-solving skills. Have Project management experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to manage/deliver to deadlines; Ability to organize and prioritize workloads. Eager to learn, highly driven and very motivated with a can-do attitude. Should be a go-getter with self-initiative & a process-driven professional with outcome/KPI focus
  • Proficiency with MS Office; especially MS XL and complex data analysis
  • The ability to adapt and network across a global organization & work well with teams. Motivated and driven to succeed in a fast-moving environment. Demonstrates collaborative skills. 
  • Should be proficient in Fundamental Analysis, Value Chain Analysis, Spend, Supply & Demand Analysis
  • Be able to build Price Forecasting Models; Time Series Analysis, Correlation & Regression Analysis, & such other advanced Procurement Analytics. Be able to bring in latest Analytics methodologies to CCMS
  • Assist in Annual Budgeting Exercises and AOP's.
  • Support Risk Management Initiatives- BCP's
