Africa accounts for about 18% of world production. We run extensive ginning operations in Côte d’Ivoire, Mozambique, Chad, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. We have nurtured long-standing relationships as the preferred partner to various cotton marketing boards and ginners.

Job Description

Key Deliverables

  • Responsible for complete demand-side analysis of cotton and competing fibers
  • Gather and analyze data on trade, macro-economy, and market-trend to create forecasts for business Perform fundamental analysis, conduct research on historical data, and use mathematical & statistical tools to guide the decision-making of the business.
  • Analytics of market construct on derivative exchanges.
  • Supply & Demand Analysis – Keep abreast of the latest trends in production, consumption, export and import trade flows, and trade policies.
  • Developing and refining processes for data collection and analysis. Collaborate with the global team for supply-side forecasting of cotton using production economics
  • Consolidation of reports including position reports for all regions. Work closely with the trading desk and origin teams to direct, collect and collate data.
  • Produce a weekly outlook report every week to circulate to the business.
  • Create a repository of medium and long-term forecast reports.


  • 6-8 years preferably knowing critical variables affecting prices, trends, and basic relationships and analyzing the current and future likely impact.
  • High order of analytical & conceptual skills, effective usage of excel
  • Effective interpersonal & communication skills, be self-driven, and ready to interact with all levels of the organization
  • An understanding of how, and the willingness to go the extra mile, to bring added business value.
  • Strong ability to motivate, train and coach employees to encourage optimum performance and engagement
