Sustainability, Health, Safety, and Environment (SHSE) Manager

Key Deliverables
Health, Safety & Environment
- Operational Oversight: Lead and support site SHSE teams in executing daily safety protocols and enhancing management systems to ensure consistent compliance and performance.
- Strategic Advisory: Partner with business and operations leaders to identify SHSE risks and co-develop targeted improvement plans.
- Programme Management: Oversee occupational health initiatives, fire safety infrastructure, and regular emergency preparedness drills to maintain readiness and resilience.
- Hazard Control: Ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials in line with regulatory standards and internal policies.
Sustainability
- Support global teams in implementing ESG-aligned sustainability programmes.
- Track and reduce energy, water, and waste footprints.
- Promote decarbonisation through technology and green manufacturing practices.
- Coordinate sustainability reporting (e.g. GHG, water, waste, ESG KPIs).
- Drive awareness through employee engagement and campaigns.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial safety, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability or a related field.
- 7+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing organization, with exposure in sustainability-related role. Experience in a central coordinating role for multiple locations with exposure to variety of manufacturing systems is preferred.
- Proven track record of implementing management systems and sustainability projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and EHS/Sustainability data management tools.
- Knowledge of ESG frameworks, energy efficiency programs.
- Postgraduate diploma in Industrial Safety or Sustainability with exposure to manufacturing operations.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, Lead Auditor (ISO 14001/45001), or GRI.
