We operate edible oil processing and refining in Nigeria where we refine crude vegetable oils and market refined, bleached and deodorised palm oil, palm olein and refined soybean oil to supply customers in the region.We source from third-party suppliers in Indonesia and Malaysia. We work with our suppliers to uphold our commitments under our Responsible Palm Oil Policy. We prioritise buying from RSPO members and 90 per cent of our palm oil is sourced from suppliers who are RSPO members. Any supplier found to be non-compliant will be investigated and corrective actions sought, and we’ll cease trading with suppliers that don’t implement corrective actions within 12 months.

Job Description
A Maintenance Manager in Olam Agri is responsible for directing all engineering functions within edible oil processing operations. The role focuses on maintenance strategy, asset reliability, and optimisation of plant infrastructure to support seamless production.
The incumbent will lead technical teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure efficient delivery of engineering services aligned with production and business objectives while maintaining strict safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Strategy & Execution
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
- Ensure high equipment uptime and efficient scheduling
- Troubleshoot technical issues to minimise downtime
Leadership & Project Management
- Lead and develop engineering teams
- Manage projects including upgrades, installations, and improvements
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors
Financial & Operational Management
- Manage CAPEX/OPEX and drive cost optimisation
- Monitor KPIs such as MTBF and OEE
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with safety standards
Continuous Improvement
- Drive best practices and technology adoption
- Improve asset lifecycle and operational efficiency
Job Requirements
Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in industrial engineering
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role focused on maintenance management
- Experience in manufacturing or process industries preferred
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in maintenance strategies and reliability engineering
- Knowledge of industrial safety and compliance standards
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Project management and execution capabilities
- Proficiency in CMMS and engineering tools
