Job Description
An Assistant Processing Manager in Olam Agri is responsible for managing an efficient and safe processing site that produces finished products meeting customer requirements at optimal cost and maximum financial benefit.
The role focuses on driving operational efficiency, ensuring product quality and consistency, maintaining plant performance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The incumbent is also responsible for managing production teams, overseeing inventory, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards, and collaborating across functions to deliver business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure quality and consistency of finished products
- Monitor and improve mill performance
- Drive continuous operational improvement initiatives
- Manage raw materials, intermediate, and finished goods inventory effectively
- Control costs, including labour, energy, and maintenance
- Maintain site hygiene and overall site condition
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Lead, manage, and motivate the production team
Job Requirements
Experience
- 5–6 years of relevant work experience, preferably in handling multiple milling lines
- Experience in managing production operations within a structured industrial environment
- Strong exposure to cost control, plant operations, and process optimisation
Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. from a reputed institute

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
