Job Description

As a Sustainable Sourcing Analyst, your role will have a global impact, supporting and ensuring progress toward Olam Agri's sustainability goals and commitment. This includes:

Due Diligence & Grievance monitoring

  • Collect data and conduct due diligence on potential palm oil suppliers through spatial and non-spatial analysis.
  • Provide a due diligence report.
  • Ensure all grievances related to the third-party suppliers are well handled based on Olam Agri's grievance procedure.

Traceability

  • Ensure a traceable supply chain through regular engagement with third-party suppliers.

Supply Chain monitoring

  • Assist in monitoring sustainability risks, including ongoing monitoring of land use change/deforestation maps.

Reporting & Database

  • Develop and maintain responsible sourcing databases such as traceability, NDPE-IRF, engagement log, etc.
  • ESG data collection for sustainability reporting, Internal Audit, banks’ risk assessments, and ESG benchmarking
  • Support the implementation of and reporting on other Olam Agri sustainability initiatives as relevant.
  • Answer queries from internal and external parties on all questions linked to compliance and governance.

Requirements

  • A personal passion for sustainable agriculture and food systems
  • Pragmatic, organized, and structured, with strong critical thinking skills.
  • On-the-ground experience and a good understanding of agri-business models and success factors are highly desirable
  • Prior experience in the palm oil sector is mandatory.
  • Experience with product certification systems, monitoring and evaluation, auditing, and capacity-building/training are desirable.
  • Willing to occasionally travel to remote operational areas.
  • University degree or equivalent experience in a relevant domain.
  • 4-6 years of relevant professional experience
  • Preference will be given to those with GIS skills.
