Job Description

Sourcing of Raw Material

Plan and execute buying strategies based on factory import requirements.
Directly manage large global cooperatives and suppliers.
Develop pricing strategies aligned with market practices to ensure cost‑effective procurement.
Implement raw material quality practices to ensure the best-quality materials are sourced through improved approaches and innovations.

EXIM

Handle import and export operations, including schedule planning, volume projection, and operational activities.
Plan and manage logistics and all supporting functions.
Be well‑versed with import requirements such as LC, Form M, HS codes, and Incoterms.
Liaise with regulatory agencies such as customs.
Work closely with clearing agents.
Set KPIs, budgets, and plan training sessions.

Key Deliverables

Volume: Plan and phase raw material supply as per processing facility needs; manage supplier relationships.
Cost: Manage direct operational costs within the allocated budget.
Quality: Ensure procurement of optimum-quality raw materials.
Sustainability: Lead and anchor sustainability initiatives.
Contribute to the design and implementation of the business roadmap and manage procurement and supply chain strategies for products outside Nigeria.
Demonstrate sound judgment within defined practices and select appropriate techniques to secure effective solutions for future results.
Exhibit strong financial acumen, including understanding counterparty and credit risk management.
Build strong S&D (supply and demand) capabilities to develop dynamic price views and strategic buying plans throughout the crop year.

Strategic Effectiveness

Support the implementation of infrastructure as per business plans and maximize capacity efficiencies by eliminating controllable losses.
Oversee all raw material buying, including packaging materials, additives, spares, and CAPEX.
Manage primary and secondary procurement activities.
Build and develop teams through hiring, training, and capability development.
Collaborate with key stakeholders through formal business reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

12+ years of experience in import processes.
Good communication skills.
Team player with strong team management capabilities.
Ability and willingness to go the extra mile to deliver added business value.
Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team‑building skills.
Prior experience in sales, supply chain, or operations is an added advantage.
