Job Description

Purpose:

To accurately measure and map farmlands within Olam’s agricultural operations, ensuring efficient land utilization and planning for various agricultural activities, particularly land leveling.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed land surveys using advanced surveying equipment and techniques.
  • Prepare accurate land maps, plans, and profiles, including contour lines and elevation data.
  • Calculate land areas, boundaries, and distances.
  • Collaborate with engineers and agronomists to determine optimal land leveling strategies and designs.
  • Monitor and document any changes in land topography or features.
  • Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations during fieldwork.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive survey reports and data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience as a surveyor
  • Proven experience in land surveying, with a strong emphasis on land leveling.
  • Proficiency in using surveying equipment, such as total stations, GPS receivers, and data collection software.
  • Strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and standards.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze survey data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work in field conditions, including varying weather and terrain.
  • Familiarity with agricultural practices and land management is a plus.
