Job Description
Participation in the definition of the commercial strategy of the product, the definition of a commercial action plan for the implementation of the commercial strategy of the product and the sale of the product.
Key Deliverables
- Participate in the development of a commercial strategy for the product ;
- Coordinate market research for product positioning ;
- Manage the product launch phase ;
- Support the Sales Director in setting sales objectives for the product ;
- work in collaboration with Partners: breeders, distributors, sales people and the sales Director for the organization of fairs and commercial events for the Promotion of Livestock Feed.
- Ensure the implementation of the sales and marketing strategy by developing a sales action plan ;
- define for each product, describing as precisely and in detail as possible, the different actions, marketing tools to be used, the means to be implemented and the deadlines for the implementation of the Strategy.
- Participate in the setting of performance criteria for the execution of each activity related to the implementation of the strategy ;
- Ensure the sale and presence of the product in the market ;
- carry out an a priori evaluation during and at the end of the activity ;
- keep the conclusions of each activity in an archive in a database open to all the actors concerned.
- collaborate with all departments to bring to market the most suitable Product for market demand ;
- stimulate interest in the product and encourage support efforts among breeders, sellers and distributors by initiating all forms of incentive activities.
Strategic Effectiveness
- Strong planning skills, building the regional sales plan as per the organizational distribution segment strategy.
- Building and driving the quarterly sales and revenue targets, ensuring regional sales objectives are achieved.
- A keen eye on performance, managing ground activities as per plans and objectives and taking remedial action in cases of deviations.
Operational Effectiveness
- Be the centre of the action, control and guide sales and distribution activities within the region.
- You would have strong market connects, identify and report competitor activities within the region. Plan the necessary actions to counter them and to protect your market share.
- Build strong relationships with the distribution channel, co-ordinate for field requirements and support distributors.
Organizational Effectiveness
- Be the people person, the one-point source of motivation and guidance for the diverse and often large local teams across country.
- Plan and execute product training, team development activities and build a robust performance culture within the team.
Requirements
- Bac + 4 from a business school
- Be a senior executive with at least five (5) years of experience in the Animal Nutrition industry, preferably Ruminants
- Be perfectly multilingual in French/English/Wolof
- Have a good knowledge of the Senegal Ruminant Feed industry
