Key Deliverables

  • Develop Integrated Impact Statement (“IIS”, incl. Social Capital, Natural Capital, Human Capital) for various OGA businesses/ operations, socialize the same with requisite stakeholders and get it published in the Annual Report
  • Work closely with the CSR team, Regional Finance team, and Operations team to gather and validate relevant data for developing IIS
  • Orchestrate Sustainability strategy for OGA Businesses during the BU/ Corporate Strategy exercise; at Olam, we ensure Sustainability is at the heart of business. This process would require working with BU/ CSR teams to build a business case (key risks & opportunities in Sustainability space) and define medium-term (2-3 years) and long-term (5-6 years) goals and specific targets.
  • Conceptualize and lead launch of digital platform to collate, drive, track and comprehensively report various sustainability related targets at country/ business unit level. Onboard new businesses on to the platform, as new operations are set up or acquisitions are made.
  • Act as sounding board for ideation of new sustainability (esp. traceability) initiatives, in collaboration with other internal teams (CSR/ Digital/ BU).
  • Develop clear understanding of OGA manufacturing operations, and impact of same on environment (natural capital) and collaborate with CSR to design initiatives to minimize environmental cost of manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • CA / MS Finance / MBA Finance required
  • Minimum 3-4 years of relevant professional experience with focus on sustainability or similar field (familiar with impact valuation, green finance, integrated capitals assessment, etc.), preferably in a Big 4 firm
  • Well versed in relevant sustainability guidelines and frameworks (e.g. Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)) and application of system thinking approach
  • Advanced user of Microsoft office (mainly powerpoint and excel)
  • Advanced data analysis, modelling and inference skills
  • Proactive problem solving, influencing, communication skills and ability to manage projects end-to-end in collaboration with multiple teams.
  • Genuine passion for sustainability and keen to make an impact on the ground in the agriculture sector
