Job Description

Working with internal and external stakeholders to prepare and file monthly indirect tax returns within EMEA and Singapore on a timely basis.
Preparing and sending tax declarations for the different levels of tax authorities within Europe and Singapore, in accordance with the due dates established.
Active participation on all business calls and meetings and drive issue resolution as required.
Analyzing data and translating into meaningful information.
Managing the monthly close process and providing regular status updates to the Singapore headquarters.
Processing the journal entries and account reconciliations on a routine basis.
Managing the indirect tax audit requirements for EMEA and Singapore.
Automating internal indirect tax functions and processes using technology.
Identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and streamline workflow.

Requirements

Proven experience in European VAT, Intrastat, Intracommunity and extra community (EC Sales) filing.
Minimum master’s degree from reputable universities with excellent academic result, majoring in Accounting or Finance.
6 to 7 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of general ledger systems (preferably SAP).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs, including spreadsheet programs (i.e. Excel).
Good negotiating skills and interpersonal skills
Demonstrate resilience and the ability to navigate challenges while maintaining composure and professionalism.
Strong sense of ownership, taking initiative and accountability for outcomes.
Willingness to travel, as the role involves interaction with stakeholders across various international locations.
